Conyers House participates annually in the Church's Operation Christmas Child, collecting shoe boxes full of gifts for children all over the world.

December 23rd: Christmas at F.T. Baptist Church -

This year, the Christmas dinner, followed by our Christmas play and candlelight service will be on Dec. 23rd. Time will be posted when avaiable. Customarily, this annual dinner is held the 3rd Sunday of December, and the candlelight service is the 23rd. Since the 23rd is a Sunday this year, we decided to combine the two events.

July 4th in Rappahannock County involves a wonderful community fireworks display at the race course of Thornton Hill Hounds. Organizations and sponsors buy tents and invite guests to come for a meal and enjoy the show. The gates open at 1:00 and the fireworks begin at 9:15 pm. I always have supper at the Thornton Hill Hounds tent. Join me this year -- great way to celebrate the 4th!

Coming to Rappahannock Winter 2013

Christmas in Washington VA December 1, 2013

This event is held annually, the first Sunday of December. Arrive late morning to see the Christmas Parade march down Gay Street in Little Washington, VA. Then stay and enjoy lunch at one of the food vendors and explore tbe many local crafts sold in two places in town throughout the afternoon. A Fun Day for the kids and adults.
