Reservations

During some busy times, we have a two-night minimum on weekends.
There is a 18% charge on all rooms for taxes and services.

Canine guests are welcome only in the Spring House at $35 per night.
Please bring your crate so your dog will be comfortable when you are away.
Our Jack Russell, Alex, is not aggressive but will stand his ground.
Bring your leash for the introduction.

Check In ~ Check Out

Check in is between 1:00 - 5:00 pm. If the room is not being used the night before, you may check in earlier, i you inquire. Check out is 11:00 am.

Credit Cards

We accdept Personal Credit Cards Only (as opposed to Corporate Cards for which we are charged $30 to process). We accept VISA, Master Card and Discover. We prefer to be paid with personal checks.

Cancellation Policy

Regardless of when you cancel, if we have turned guests down to honor your reservation, we require that you be financially responsible until we rebook your room.

In thirty years, only two rooms have gone unbooked after cancellation.

About Arrivals & Departures

Luggage may be unloaded beneath our porte-cochère,

Please note our driveway is circular.

Approaching from Scenic Route 231, enter the 2nd entrance on your left (just past the house, by the mail box) and park your car beneath the porte-cochère to unload your luggage, especially during inclement weather.

Once your luggage has been unloaded, please proceed down the driveway to the guest parking area.

Our sign is small as is the custom in Rapphannock County. If you arrive in the dark, you won't like it if you sail past our entrance(s) as Slate Mills Road becomes very curvy with fast driving good ole boys in pickup trucks coming at you on their way home from visiting "Mama-n'em".

Incidentally, there are two good reasons to drive slowly and carefully on Slate Mills Road: Loose animals along the road, and missing The Conyers House.
